Former Mexican president to Donald Trump: “I’m not going to pay for that ****ing wall”

In an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos, former Mexican President Vicente Fox was clear on whether Mexico should pay for Donald Trump’s wall at the US-Mexico border.

“I declare: I’m not going to pay for that fucking wall,” Fox said. “He should pay for it. He’s got the money.”

Of course, Fox is not the current president of Mexico. But there’s no sign that the current administration, led by Enrique Peña Nieto, has any interest in paying for the wall, either. “Of course it’s false,” Eduardo Sanchez, Peña Nieto spokesperson, told Bloomberg. “It reflects an enormous ignorance for what Mexico represents, and also the irresponsibility of the candidate who’s saying it.”

Trump insists that he’s such a good negotiator that he’ll wrangle Mexico into doing his bidding — and then the country will pay for the wall. But, for now, it seems like yet another bogus claim from the Republican frontrunner.
