Is Jeb Bush still running for president? Apparently, a lot of people don’t know.

Jeb Bush’s presidential run is going so badly that people don’t even know if he’s running.

At least that’s what the Google data says: With the fourth Republican debate tonight, the top Googled question about Bush is whether he’s still running for president.

Other Republican campaigns face a similar question, according to Google data. But it seems reserved to Ben Carson, who is polling well but elites think has no chance of winning, and other low-polling candidates like Mike Huckabee and Bobby Jindal. Not exactly the candidates Bush hoped to compete with.

Bush’s campaign has, to put it mildly, not lived up to the hype. Initially, Bush secured a lot of establishment support for his run. But things quickly soured once the campaigns kicked into gear: Donald Trump soared in the polls, Bush failed to respond to Trump’s rise with any show of confidence, the Republican establishment began moving on to Marco Rubio, and now a new poll from YouGov has found Bush at a measly 3 percent support — with Trump and Carson way ahead of him.

In the face of this collapse, it’s really no surprise that people don’t know whether Bush is still running. At the very least, it’s looking more and more likely he’ll soon drop out.
