Facebook announced it will end its Sponsored Stories advertising product on April 9. This marks the end to the controversial product, which shared users’ “Like” data without the ability to opt out. It comes months after Facebook settled a class-action lawsuit which alleged that Sponsored Stories violated user privacy.
