Apple Celebrates The Mac at 30

Happy birthday, Mac.

Today is the 30th anniversary of the original Mac, a true milestone in computing, and one Apple isn’t going to let pass unnoticed. To commemorate the day, the company has updated its Web site with a bevy of material celebrating the machine, its legacy and the people who use it. The centerpiece of the tribute, a nearly 3 minute long video charting the Mac’s history, its impact, and the reminiscences of Mac users like musician Moby, artist April Greiman, and surgeon Maki Sugimoto. A well done celebration and well worth a watch. Also worth a read today: iFixit’s teardown of the Macintosh 128K.
