Games are a rapidly growing category on Android, with the top 200 games on Google Play grossing some $12 million per day worldwide, according to Distimo.

This was inevitable.
Now, here come the inevitable games for one of Google’s much more niche projects, the Google Glass smart glasses.
“We hacked together five simple games that experiment with the unique features of Glass and demonstrate some of the possibilities for gaming,” the company wrote in a recent post on its Glass Developers blog.

Outside companies like Mind Pirate argue that successful games will validate smart glasses as a category, tapping into the new types of sensors common to wearable computing that are unavailable (or just less often used) on phones and tablets. Indeed, these first five games use head positioning, balance and motion detected by Glass’s camera to control the action on screen.
My favorite: the Fruit Ninja-esque Shape Splitter, if only because I want to see people in public frantically waving their hands in front of their faces while “slicing and dicing shapes into oblivion.”
