Jeremy Gordon, Twitter’s head of product engineering, and Adam Kinney, a four-year veteran leading the analytics group, are leaving the company, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Gordon tweeted out the news Wednesday shortly after CNBC first broke the news. Gordon, who joined the company in 2012 when his app development startup Cabana was acquired, was head of all Twitter product engineering for both Web and mobile. He reported directly to Alex Roetter, Twitter’s VP of engineering on the executive team. It’s the second substantial engineering loss for Twitter in the past six months. Twitter’s previous VP of Engineering Chris Fry left the company in May.

Kinney also tweeted the news Wednesday. He started as a data scientist in 2010 and was leading the analytics group when he announced his departure, according to his LinkedIn profile.
