Glide, a video messaging startup based in Jerusalem, has raised $20 million in a new funding round led by Marker LLC. Two Sigma Ventures, Menlo Ventures and a few existing investors were also involved in the round. The new funding values Glide at $100 million, according to people familiar with the round. Glide, which allows users to quickly send video messages back and forth, has 10 million registered users in the United States, one million of whom use the product on a daily basis. The startup has now raised $28.5 million since launch in mid-2013, and will use the funding to build out its iOS and Android apps and open offices in New York and Silicon Valley, according to a company spokesperson.
