Sony will release a smaller, lighter version of its handheld PlayStation Vita in the U.S. sometime this spring, the company announced today. The slimmer Vita, which is “approximately 20 percent slimmer and 15 percent lighter than the original version,” per Sony, first rolled out to Japan in October. A Wi-Fi-only slim model bundled with an 8GB memory card and Borderlands 2 will be available for $200 at launch. Sony has previously said the Vita version of Borderlands 2 would debut on March 18.
