Apple on Tuesday released an incremental update to its OS X operating system and along with it a patch for the critical SSL-related vulnerability that’s preoccupied the security community for the past few days. Dubbed “Gotofail,” the flaw could be exploited by an attacker to bypass the standard “SSL/TLS” security verification protocols used for encrypted communications online. If you’re a Mac user, you should download this update immediately. You’ll find it under the “Updates” tab in the Mac App Store.
