Line, the Japan-based messaging startup, announced on Tuesday a deal with mobile operator Telefónica to distribute the Line app for the Firefox OS on handsets in a number of Latin American countries, including Spain, Brazil and Mexico, among others. Additionally, Line will come pre-installed on Firefox OS-based handset launches in more countries to be announced in the coming months.
