Mobile-social game company Kabam has acquired a smaller mobile-social studio, Phoenix Age, for an undisclosed price. Phoenix Age has had two modest role-playing game hits: Castle Age, available on Facebook and iOS, has been a top-75-grossing iOS game since launch, according to App Annie; and Underworld Empire, which is iOS only, is a top-25 grossing title on the iPhone. Phoenix Age’s 44 employees will continue working in their current San Francisco offices and are currently at work on an unannounced third title, according to a press release.
