Colin Powell, the retired four-star general of the U.S. Army and U.S. Secretary of State, has joined the board of directors of Salesforce.com. His appointment will expand the board of the business software company to 11 members. Powell was “instrumental in shaping Salesforce.com’s integrated philanthropic model and the formation of the Salesforce.com Foundation many years ago,” Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce.com, said in a prepared statement.
