In an update to its Google Play Games services for mobile game developers, Google will now officially support players sending virtual in-game objects to one another. Google has allowed gifting among players previously, but last year Apple made Line remove a similar feature from its popular messaging app. Today’s update to Google Play Games also includes 18 previously announced new app categories for games and tools for managing multiplayer games that work on both Android and iOS.
