Facebook announced on Monday it will let users of its Messenger for Android app test early versions of the product after joining its beta program via the Google Play store. The new option is an extension of Facebook’s existing beta programs, in which the company let users test out alpha and beta versions of the main Facebook app. The point, Facebook said, is to help improve the overall app experience for users before releasing new changes widely.
