Ten months after its acquisition of gaming infrastructure startup PlayerScale, Yahoo has launched a gaming distribution portal, the Yahoo Games Network. It will attempt to rival the likes of Facebook, which just today announced at the Game Developers Conference that 375 million people play Facebook Games on mobile and in-browser each month. Yahoo Games Network already has lined up partnerships with studios like KingsRoad maker Rumble Entertainment and Bingo Blingo maker SGN. In addition to distribution, the network will handle services like player authentication and analytics.
