LinkedIn announced on Friday that the company has reached more than 300 million users on its service, two-thirds of whom live outside of the United States. The company, which currently offers five mobile applications for download, expects that half of its traffic will come from mobile devices at some point in 2014. It should be noted that the 300 million milestone is registered users, not necessarily monthly active users (a measurement that has fast become the industry standard). To date, LinkedIn hasn’t measured its user growth in MAUs.
