Today, AT&T announced that it’s upping the amount of data on its GoPhone prepaid plans at no additional cost. The $60 monthly plan will now include 2.5 gigabytes of data (up from 2GB) and Wi-Fi hotspot support, while the $40 monthly plan will increase from 250 megabytes to 500MB. In addition, Walmart will offer a new $45 monthly plan that gets you 1GB of data and unlimited talk. The new plans take effect April 25, and existing GoPhone customers on the $40 or $60 monthly plan will automatically receive the extra data allowance on that date.
