In addition to unveiling new products today, Dropbox said it had given a board seat to Condoleezza Rice, the former U.S. secretary of state and longtime professor and administrator at Stanford University. The move earned some criticism, as Rice was involved in the origination of government wiretapping, and Dropbox is in a tricky place with regard to user privacy after being named in Edward Snowden’s PRISM leak. The other members of the Dropbox board are co-founders Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi and Sequoia Capital investor Bryan Schreier.
