One of the people who helped create Nokia’s PureView camera technology is leaving the company and taking an unspecified new gig at Apple.
Nokia Photography Lead Takes Post at Apple
Ari Partinen, who helped develop Nokia’s PureView technology, is taking an unspecified role.

“Today will be my last day working for the amazing Lumia family. In June, I will start a new chapter in Cupertino,” Ari Partinen said in a Twitter post, confirming in a follow-up tweet that he is indeed going to Apple.
Microsoft’s Nokia phone unit declined to comment specifically, but the company noted it has a deep bench of smart photography types.
“We are extremely proud of the work our PureView team has accomplished, establishing a new benchmark in smartphone imaging,” a representative said. “PureView is the work of the entire team, not any one individual.”
