Online sports retailer Fanatics has hired its first chief marketing officer, naming Orbitz and eBay vet Chris Orton to the role. Orton, who will also hold the title of chief revenue officer, will be based in San Francisco and report to new CEO Doug Mack. Orton joined Orbitz in 2010 as CMO, before being promoted to COO and president. He previously headed up eBay’s internet marketing division.
