Product Hunt, a nine-month-old website that began as a listserv to help people find and vote on new consumer products and services, has raised $1 million in seed funding from Y Combinator, Ashton Kutcher’s A-Grade Investments, Google Ventures, Greylock Discovery Fund, SV Angel and other firms and individual investors. Product Hunt is still small, with around 51,000 email subscribers and a community of early adopters, but offers an interesting take on new-product discovery. The company is also launching an iPhone app today.
