Apple Says It Sold Four Million New iPhones in 24 Hours

Apple says it took more than four million preorders for its new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models in the first 24 hours they were available online, a new record, according to the company. In 2012, Apple said preorders for its iPhone 5 model topped 2 million on the first day, and the company said it eventually sold five million phones during its launch weekend.
