In case you forgot or had reason to believe otherwise, you can now rest assured: Twitter co-founder and Chairman Jack Dorsey love-love-loves his old company.
News Flash: Twitter Co-Founder Jack Dorsey Still Loves Twitter
He offered up a tweetstorm to prove it.
Dorsey, who used to run Twitter and now runs his payments company Square, offered up a seemingly unprompted tweetstorm Thursday praising everything about Twitter, from its mission to its product to its CEO, Dick Costolo. (Tweetstorms, for those who don’t know, are a string of related tweets that help users share thoughts much longer than Twitter’s 140-character limit would otherwise allow.)
The tweetstorm of 17 tweets included a handful showing support for the Twitter executive team that spent the better part of 2014 in a continuous game of musical chairs.
Multiple executives have come and gone, including COO Ali Rowghani and numerous product VPs. The turnover caused some to question Costolo’s role as head of the company last fall, but that uproar seems to have died out, at least temporarily. (With Twitter earnings next week, you never know …)
Dorsey is now the second Twitter board member to throw public support behind Costolo since the New Year; Peter Currie did the same earlier this month.

In typical Dorsey fashion (he’s known as a deep thinker), another part of the tweetstorm focused on Twitter’s role in the broader global community. Not surprisingly, Dorsey thinks the company is about much more than offering a place to talk about your favorite TV shows.
“I think Twitter is the closest thing we have to a global consciousness,” he tweeted. “And I believe the world needs that right now.”
