Bad News for the Five of You Using Beats Music: It’s Over, as of November 30

Apple offers tips for migrating to Apple Music.

Here’s the development you’ve seen coming since Apple announced its $3 billion acquisition of Beats Music last year — the Beats Music service will be shuttered as of Nov. 30.

Beats announced it would cancel subscriptions in a couple of weeks, and offered helpful tips for Apple and Android users who want to migrate their music to the subscription service that takes its place: Apple Music. If you took advantage of the AT&T promotion, here’s how to unwind that.

Apple waited until its Apple Music service was available on Android devices before it pulled the plug on Beats Music. So far, Apple has attracted 6.5 million paid subscribers to the service it launched earlier this year.
