Snapchat HR director Sara Sperling has left the company for personal reasons, according to people familiar with the move.

Sperling joined Snapchat last August after more than four years working at Facebook. A Snapchat spokesperson confirmed Sperling’s departure Friday, and said the company wishes her well.
It was at Facebook that Sperling built internal programs and community groups for employees, and headed up Facebook’s diversity efforts. She also helped the company create its Transgender & Gender Identity Policy.
It was believed that she would do similar things at Snapchat, helping to manage and cultivate the internal culture of the company as it grew.
This is the second notable departure from Snapchat in the last month or so. Ad boss Mike Randall, who also left after only six months, departed in late January.
