Every now and then when I am feeling peckish, I like to write a warm and fuzzy item. And, thus, it’s nice to report that well-known venture capitalist and entrepreneur Marc Andreessen and his wife, philanthropy educator Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen, have had a baby. Said a spokesperson: “Marc and Laura are elated at the birth of their biological baby via gestational carrier. Baby Andreessen is in perfect health and already drafting his first business plan.” Alrighty then, if you want to go in that Silicon Valley-inspired direction, some names I might suggest include: Pivot; Tweetstorm (in honor of Dad); Series A; and, of course, Marc or Laura 2.0.
