Don’t read the comments, Mr. President!

Don’t read the comments, Mr. President!

It’s no secret the Internet can be a mean-spirited place, especially when it comes to public figures like, say, the President of the United States. But that hasn’t stopped POTUS from having a sense of humor about it.

Barack Obama read some of the “mean tweets” people have shared about him yesterday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” It’s a segment Kimmel does regularly, bringing celebrities on to read comments made by Twitter trolls.

With Obama, the tweets were lighthearted compared to what’s really out on the Interwebs, but he gave a few jabs back in good fun.

You can watch the video below, and you can also watch this video of Re/code’s Kara Swisher interviewing Obama last month at Stanford University. She didn’t make him read mean tweets, but she did grill him on cyber security.
