She also talked about the effects of Google shaking up how it favors mobile-friendly sites — “Every time Google coughs, the rest of the world gets pneumonia,” was Swisher’s take — and Europe’s decision to take formal antitrust action against Google. Swisher’s prediction: Google will settle quickly so it can move on.
Then later in the week after Etsy priced its IPO, Edmund Lee appeared on CNBC to talk about the company’s business model and whether it will stay independent.
