Wes Anderson has created a cafe in Milan.

This phrase might not be magical for a casual viewer of Wes Anderson films. But for his fans, this establishment that serves croissants is a godsend — more of a godsend than regular establishments that serve croissants because it’s designed by Anderson himself.
Anderson is known for the way his movies look and feel as well as the stories they tell. There’s a quirky sense of order and symmetry in his movies — the composition of his shots have become his calling card. And the worlds he creates are places that can make you wish you lived in them.
This cafe, called Bar Luce, is the closest thing fans can experience in real life that resembles the whimsical, fictional worlds Anderson creates.
“While I do think it would make a pretty good movie set, I think it would be an even better place to write a movie,” Anderson said in a statement. “I tried to make it a bar I would want to spend my own non-fictional afternoons in.”
