Re/code on the Airwaves: Apple and More Apple, Twitter and More Twitter

It was a busy week in tech, with Apple holding its developer conference and Twitter redistributing keys to the CEO office.

That meant it was also a busy TV and radio week for Re/code staffers.

Kara Swisher took her sun-shades out in the sun on Monday to talk about Apple’s new Mac OS X update, El Capitan.

Earlier in the day, she talked about Peter Kafka’s scoop that Apple would debut a news app to take on Flipboard.

Walt Mossberg also offered his predictions ahead of the developers conference.

Following the event, Edmund Lee went on CNBC to talk about several of Apple’s announcements, including the launch of Apple Music.

Meanwhile, CBS San Francisco did a segment on the observation from Ina Fried that there were finally lines for the women’s room at this year’s WWDC, though they are still dwarfed by those for the men’s room.

And Lauren Goode went on Tech News Today to talk about Apple’s various moves.

Social reporter Kurt Wagner stepped up to talk Twitter as CEO Dick Costolo stepped down, with Wagner appearing on the BBC as well as talking with CNBC.

Kara Swisher also weighed in on the move, calling it “strange.”

It wasn’t all Apple and Twitter, though.

Eric Johnson appeared on CBS radio in Philadelphia to talk about Oculus’ move into the consumer space. And Lauren went on This Morning with Gordon Deal to talk about why you don’t need a smartwatch just yet.
