• Oh you thought the whole Hillary Clinton email drama was over? WRONG it was not over.

• The State Department posted 4,368 documents, totaling 7,121 pages, in the latest monthly disclosure of emails sent and received by Clinton during her time as Secretary.

• The emails are a good reminder that DC is considerable more like Veep than it is like House of Cards. Clinton literally sent an email with the subject line "Gefilte fish" and body text, "Where are we on this?"

Somewhat-less-than-massive resistance

• So remember how the Supreme Court made same-sex legal everywhere in June? Well, a sad county official in Kentucky is still bitter about it.

• Kim Davis, the county clerk of of Rowan County, Kentucky (population 23,333) has refused to issue marriage licenses to either opposite-sex or same-sex couples ever since the ruling came down.

• Gov. Steve Beshear (D) ordered all county clerks to issue marriage licenses, prompting a lawsuit from Davis.

• Davis took the case all the way to the Supreme Court, which denied her appeal. She still has refused to issue licenses.

• Lawyers representing same-sex couples have asked a federal judge to find Davis in contempt of court and fine her; the judge could send her to jail, but the couples have specifically requested that he not. A hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

• One of the biggest challenges for self-driving cars: human-driven cars are the worst.

• A New York Times article runs through some problems Google's latest batch of cars has experienced: waiting too long at four-way stops because human drivers are awful and didn't come to a complete stop; a human-driven sedan ramming into a Google car after it slowed to let a pedestrian cross; the only time a Google car ever caused an accident, which happened when a human, not code, was programming it.

• This gets at a dilemma in the development of self-driving cars: do we transition in one leap, or let cars gradually automate more tasks. Tesla is opting for the latter approach, as are most traditional car companies.

• But you give up a lot of benefits if humans are still doing some driving at least a little bit. You can't sleep during a drive; cars can't park themselves; you can't have totally driver-free taxis.
