Verge Reviewers to Share Their Take on Cars, Wearables and Payments at Code/Mobile
Walt Mossberg, Lauren Goode and Chris Ziegler will give their take on the state of the art at the event, which takes place Oct. 7-8 in Half Moon Bay, Calif.
As part of that focus, we have asked the crack reviews staff from our sister publication The Verge to share their perspective on the latest and greatest things they are seeing in each field. To that end, Chris Ziegler will explain the latest in car tech, Lauren Goode will talk wearables and Walt Mossberg will be giving his take on payments.
Each will share their thoughts in a short onstage interview moderated by CNBC’s Julia Boorstin. The Code/Mobile event takes place Oct. 7-8 at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, Calif.
The talks from The Verge are the latest in our efforts to make Code/Mobile an even more valuable take on the industry and are in addition to the industry spotlights — short overviews from outside experts that will accompany our stellar lineup of speakers. Zendrive CEO Jonathan Matus will give the auto spotlight, Intel anthropologist Genevieve Bell will tee things up on wearables, while Karen Webster will frame the payments discussion.
As for the executives in the red chairs, the lineup includes Android founder Andy Rubin, Apple Pay chief Jennifer Bailey, AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, Fitbit CEO James Park, AT&T Mobile CEO Glenn Lurie, FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel along with top executives from Facebook, Google, Twitter, Chase and PayPal.
And believe it or not, we have a couple more speakers to announce this week. Plus, the event will kick off with an analysis of the mobile industry and its future from Andreessen Horowitz’s Benedict Evans.
At this point, pretty much the only thing missing might be you. If you don’t want that to be the case, there is still time to register — but not much.
