Tesla delivered a record number of vehicles in Q3 | Recode Daily: October 3, 2016

Production has ramped up after falling short of targets for two quarters.

.After missing its production and delivery targets the last two quarters, Tesla set records for both in Q3, delivering about 24,500 vehicles. The company stuck to its estimate of 50,000 deliveries in the second half of this year.

.Tronc, the newspaper company that used to be called Tribune, is going away: Politico reports that Gannett has a deal to buy the company, and that it could be announced as early as this morning. Tronc/Tribune is the company that owns papers including the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times; it's also the one that made that ridiculous video about "the future of content."
