The Super Bowl Kicks Off Tonight at 6:30 Eastern Time on CBS

How to tune in and how to listen if you can’t watch.

The Super Bowl starts at 6:30 Eastern time tonight and at 3:30 Pacific time on CBS. It will be played in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

For years, writers at websites have written headlines and lead paragraphs like the ones above in the hope that people searching Google for the start time would be directed to their sites. Last year, Google started answering the question itself in its own organic results.

Even so, lots of other websites including this one still go to the trouble to put up a post with exactly the same information in it, including Deadspin, our colleagues at SBNation, Newsday and Marketwatch. Even the Telegraph in the U.K. was featured in my Google search results.

If you don’t have a cable or satellite TV service and intend to watch via an Internet stream on your computer, phone or other device, our own Peter Kafka has gathered up everything you need to know about doing that right here.

And, in case for some reason you can’t watch the game, there’s a handful of options to listen to the game. As many as 23 million people did just that last year.

If you’re driving and have a satellite radio, you can listen to the Broncos Radio network on XM Channel 225 or Sirius Channel 82. The Panthers Radio Network is on XM Channel 226 and Sirius Channel 83. There’s also a feed from the Westwood One radio networking on XM 299 and Sirius 108.

Panthers fans can listen to the audio feed via the Panthers.com website. Broncos fans can catch the live stream from Denver’s KOA radio right here.
