Pro-Hillary Super PAC goes after online trolls

Yes, BernieBros, we mean you.

The pro-Hillary Clinton Super PAC Correct the Record has launched a $1 million campaign to combat online trolls.

The political action committee, the brainchild of one-time conservative attack dog turned Clinton supporter David Brock, announced it would launch a task force to push back against Clinton haters on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Reddit.

The Barrier Breakers task force — a collection of one-time journalists, bloggers, public affairs people and Clinton advocates — says it aims to “help Clinton supporters push back on online harassment and thank superdelegates.

As you might imagine, some interpreted the statement as a genteel way of saying the task force intends to pay people to antagonize Sanders supporters.

Barrier Breakers are especially interested in answering the Berniebros, a group of passionate male supporters of the Vermont Senator whom the Atlantic examined at length, like an anthropology project.

We asked to speak with Correct the Record about this campaign. Stay tuned.
