Jimmy Kimmel asked Clinton to read Trump quotes with a straight face. She had to refuse one.

Jimmy Kimmel had a simple challenge for Hillary Clinton on Monday: Read Donald Trump quotes while keeping a straight face. She made it through a few — insights about how important it is to apologize when he’s wrong (“That’s profound,” Clinton joked), how he was the one who broke the glass ceiling for women in construction, and some of his insults to Rosie O’Donnell.

But she couldn’t read one, forcing Kimmel to do it: “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

Kimmel’s audience groaned. He responded, “We didn’t make these up. These are real.”

Kimmel also gave Clinton another challenge: In response to unfounded rumors about her health — circulated by conservative pundits like Sean Hannity — he asked her to open a jar of pickles. She triumphed.

Clinton said, however, that she was genuinely baffled by the rumors.

“Back in October, the National Enquirer said I would be dead in six months,” Clinton said. “So with every breath I take, I feel like … a new lease on life.” She added, “I don’t know why they are saying this. I think, on the one hand, it’s part of the wacky strategy — just say all these crazy things, and maybe you can get some people to believe you. On the other hand, it just makes absolutely no sense. I don’t go around questioning Donald Trump’s health. As far as I can tell, he’s as healthy as a horse.”
