Stitch Fix CEO: We haven’t hit $1 billion in revenue yet

“But we’ve been really excited about the growth that we’ve seen.”

One hot question in e-commerce is how big Stitch Fix — which uses fit and style algorithms and human stylists to create a personalized clothing shipment “fix” — has grown. Last year, industry sources had estimated the startup’s annual sales at more than $500 million.

Speaking tonight at our Code Commerce event in Las Vegas, Stitch Fix founder and CEO Katrina Lake wouldn’t reveal much to quantify the size of her business.

“We haven’t hit $1 billion, I’ll tell you that,” Lake said. “But we’ve been really excited about the growth that we’ve seen.”

Lake did provide some context on the growth of some of Stitch Fix’s newer businesses. For example, in six months, its men’s business got to the same size as it took the women’s business about 3.5 years to reach. (Stitch Fix was founded in 2011.) And its recently launched plus-size business will do about as much in its first month as Stitch Fix did in its first year of business, Lake said.
