We’d be tempting the food gods if we hosted a conference in New York City about the future of retail and commerce and didn’t invite a top restaurateur to sit for an interview.

So we went out and landed one of the most entrepreneurial and accomplished ones.

Mario Batali — the chef and food entrepreneur behind famed Italian restaurants like Del Posto and the growing chain of Eataly Italian marketplaces, as well as the co-host of ABC’s “The Chew” — is coming to Code Commerce on September 13 and 14 in Manhattan.

He’ll be joined onstage by Recode Executive Editor Kara Swisher in a conversation that will touch on everything from how Batali thinks about retail distribution for his branded line of products in an increasingly digital world, to how to best serve food lovers in brick-and-mortar retail during an era of on-demand delivery when convenience often trumps all.

Batali is just the latest addition to a stacked lineup of speakers who are joining us at Code Commerce in September for two days of our signature, unscripted interviews, plus stellar networking opportunities and exclusive behind-the-scenes visits to company headquarters and retail experiences that we will start announcing soon.

In addition to Batali, you’ll also hear from the CEOs of companies like Williams-Sonoma, Bonobos, Blue Apron and Warby Parker, plus new Uber Chief Brand Officer Bozoma Saint John, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and others still to come.

But with only a little more than a month to go before the event, Code Commerce will sell out soon. Secure your spot by registering today.
