How to watch: Jared Kushner gives his first public account of Russia meetings

After speaking in a closed-door meeting of the Senate Intelligence Committee Monday, President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner is giving his first public account of meetings with Russians during the 2016 campaign.

Kushner released his prepared remarks for the Senate Intelligence Committee Monday morning, and will speak to reporters at the White House at 1:15 pm EDT.

Kushner has repeatedly emphasized that he “did not collude” with the Russian government or any other government, and that a meeting he attended with Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer was not improper, despite the meeting being set up on the premise that the attorney had damaging information about Hillary Clinton, as part of the Russian government’s support for Trump’s presidential campaign. Moreover, Kushner has insisted that he didn’t know what the meeting was about when he joined it, and that he excused himself shortly after it began.

Kushner’s statement will be streamed live on Facebook.
